Hero bikes & scooters in Nepal are solely distributed by Nepal General Marketing Pvt. Limited, shortly known as NGM. It’s head office is located at Jyoti Bhawan in Kantipath, Kathmandu. Initially entered the Nepali market as “Hero Honda”, later separation of two companies in India led to split of Hero from Honda in Nepal as well. After the separation, NGM was established in 2012 which got its authorized distributorship on 26th September. NGM has its root from Jyoti Group of companies and has continued its legacy. Hero has been able to establish itself as common-man-bike in Nepal.
Hero, which was initially a cycle manufacturer, is an Indian bike manufacturer. In 1984, it started operation by entering into a joint venture with Japanese company Honda to produce bikes in India under brand of Hero Honda. However, later the partnership was terminated on 2010. In 2011, company was renamed as “Hero MotorCorp Limited” from “Hero Honda Motors Limited”.
